Koenigsegg explains how they crash test their cars
Being a small company with limited resources, Koenigsegg still has to crash their ultra expensive cars like any other brands too. So how do they make sure their cars meet the safety regulations set by various countries?
Unlike most large manufacturers which need to crash at least 16 cars and lose around S$540,000 to get the crash tests done, Koenigsegg can't afford to do the same as crashing the same amount of cars would equate to a lost of more than S$40 million. In fact, 16 cars is around the same amount of cars they can produce in a year.
