Former pop star Posh Spice, or as she is formally known, Victoria [David] Beckham, has found a new job - she's been appointed creative design executive at Range Rover. The announcement was made yesterday during the 40th birthday celebrations of the Range Rover brand at The Orangery Kensington Palace, where Land Rover introduced its new Evoque 'baby' SUV.

The pop singer-turned-fashion-designer will lend her trendy input on future special edition Range Rover design projects, starting with a Special Edition of the Evoque. Speaking at Range Rover's 40th anniversary event, Victoria Beckham said: "This is a very exciting collaboration. The classic British heritage of Range Rover and the effortless style, quality and beauty is something I truly admire and also what I hope to achieve with my own brand. I am honoured to take on this role and be part of the creative team."

Gerry McGovern, Land Rover and Range Rover Design Director, and the man responsible for hiring Beckham, commented:

"Victoria Beckham is a talented British fashion designer and is extremely knowledgeable about great design and trends. Victoria understands luxury products - she is a Range Rover fan and has been a Range Rover owner for many years. Her fashion business is now in its third year and her designs are loved by critics and bought by many of the most stylish women in the world. I believe this appointment adds a new dimension to my design team as we continue to design products to appeal to a wider audience."

  • A 20-year journey, an old passion rekindled

For us 90s babies, the Holy Trinity of Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network formed a big part of our childhood. The internet was just about coming into fruition, with the rise of a plethora of websites with numerous entertaining flash games and of course, the early days of YouTube. And though those things have come and gone, one thing in my life remained constant: My love for Pokemon. I first got into Pokemon 20 years ago, and I remember exactly how it went down. Let me set the

The Music that Shaped Me, Pt. 2

Note: If you’ve stumbled onto this post without any context, do read Pt. 1 here first! It is said that the average person’s music taste starts to solidify early on in their adult lives, and by their early 30s they will begin to say things like “Music was better in my day”, “>insert your favourite artist or genre< is not real music”, something to that effect. Of course, I am speaking generally. With four more years to go till I hit 30, I’d like to think I try to expand my tastes o

    Fascinated by honey

If there's one natural food (aka can be eaten raw) that I absolutely love, it's honey. Yes, there are countless varieties from around the world, but for this story, we'll talk about the kind that comes straight out of a hive, complete with honeycomb. I'm not an expert on this topic, but every time I consume raw, unprocessed honey, it tastes a lot better compared to honey that comes in a jar. No squeeze-bottle honey for me, please. Perhaps it's just my imagination, but raw honey doesn't

The fun in collecting postcards without (really ever) sending them

I believe I may not be alone when I say that I’m quite the avid collector of postcards, but rarely ever send them out to family or friends. To some, this might seem counterintuitive, even wasteful. But for me, these miniature works of art serve a different purpose. They're windows into distant lands; time capsules of bygone eras; and conversation starters par excellence. In fact, in a city as fast-paced as Singapore, where our lives often revolve around our vehicles and the next destination
