blogentry-133713-0-71454900-1470721708_thumb.jpgFocus2move, a statistics reporting company in the automotive sector, has revealed the world's best selling car so far in 2016. And its the Toyota Corolla. With 634,298 units delivered in the first six months of the year, the Japanese car tops the chart even though its sales was down 1.2 percent from the previous period.

Second in that list belongs to the Volkswagen Golf which garnered 500,630 sales, and surprisingly, it had a 1.8 percent increase in sales despite the emissions scandal that happened months ago.

Meanwhile, Ford's F-Series trucks took third place with 478,394 units delivered while its Focus sits at the fourth place with 367,479 units. Fifth goes to the Hyundai Elantra, with 363,490 deliveries.

The car with the highest jump belongs to the Hyundai Tuscon which climbed 949 spots to the 16th place with its 285,060 sales, a massive 202.4 percent increase in popularity, likely due to its recent introduction of the all-new generation model.

I believe in Singapore, the top selling model for 2016 so far is Honda Vezel though officially maybe Altis as PI figures not able to consolidate in total?

  • Japan: The trend that became a turn-off

Ahh Japan. The destination that many travellers desire. The perennial trending subject on social media. Japanese cuisine, culture, quirks, technology, and everything kawaii have inspired endless posts, stories, reels, YouTube videos, and TikToks. If one didn't know better, you'd think it was the dream destination on this planet. While I love the food, the service and the shopping, the sheer number of tourists (me included) has become a turn-off. I'm not talking about those who inconven

Forget the Future - Embrace the Past

Ah, the future. That shiny, chrome-plated paradise we're all supposed to be chasing. Well, I say bollocks to that. Let's take a cheeky detour down memory lane instead, shall we? Imagine you're lounging in a velvet smoking jacket, sipping brandy from a crystal snifter, surrounded by dusty tomes and antique globes. Sounds rather spiffing, no? That's because old is gold, methinks. While everyone else is frantically scrolling through their social media feeds, we'll be gleefully embracing t

    Germany is weird, too

As we've previously established and regularly highlighted, Japan is pretty weird.  And as it turns out, Germany's kinda weird, too:  m2-res_720p.mp4 The above video has been making its rounds on social media, and the simplest description of it is that it's a game where they are trying to cut an object (here, a pretzel) EXACTLY in half. It's pretty amazing that the person actually succeeds, but the fact that this is a game at all (on TV, no less) is fascinating.  Schlag d

    The Joys of Morning Walks

Like most other folks stuck in the rut of smartphone-hyper-use, I recently caught myself doing the same each morning: Waking up to immediately reach for my phone. Reflecting on the first quarter of the year, however – and realising that I’ve been subconsciously plunged into an extended bout of languidness – brought me to the realisation: Perhaps it's time to embrace a different routine. One that started with stepping outside into the crisp morning air, and feeling the gentle warmth of
