Irresponsible Tesla driver tries Autopilot function in the backseat
Recently, Tesla introduced its Autopilot system to its Model S as an upgrade. While this is as close as you can get to full autonomous driving, Tesla has made it clear that this system is by no means a fully automated driving experience, and you must have your hands on the wheel all times, as the driver is still the one responsible for controlling the vehicle.
Sadly a couple of videos, showing irresponsible drivers abusing the program from the backseat, have surfaced on the net. Shot from the backseat, this video shows the owner's Tesla Model S doing all the driving, unsupervised, on the road, at 83 km/h by itself.
Thankfully, Tesla is aware of these incidents and will be will be putting some additional constraints on when Autopilot can be activated to minimise such dangerous behaviours.
