blogentry-133713-0-10534600-1431958493_thumb.jpgAccording to Grand Prix Times, Honda plans to work on improving the power of its Formula 1 engine. The company, which supplies only to McLaren, entered the sport only this year and has some work cut out for it. With less development time and experience as compared to its competitors, they must make sure they can identify the weakness of the engine and choose areas which are more in need of improving.

Motorsport boss Yasuhisa Arai was quoted saying the engine lacks horsepower and he aims to improve the combustion efficiency. When questioned what needs to be changed, he said the combustion concept needs to be looked at and parts like the turbocharger or the camshaft could be swapped out for better ones.

That said, it is not all bad news for the guys at Honda, with lesser reliability issues as the season goes on. Neither Jenson Button or Fernando Alonso experienced a problem during the Spanish GP, or during the in-season test which followed.

Hmmm. I don't spot any VTEC logo. :/

LOL they don't need VTEC in F1. The engine should run at full lift all the time.

  • A 20-year journey, an old passion rekindled

For us 90s babies, the Holy Trinity of Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network formed a big part of our childhood. The internet was just about coming into fruition, with the rise of a plethora of websites with numerous entertaining flash games and of course, the early days of YouTube. And though those things have come and gone, one thing in my life remained constant: My love for Pokemon. I first got into Pokemon 20 years ago, and I remember exactly how it went down. Let me set the

The fun in collecting postcards without (really ever) sending them

I believe I may not be alone when I say that I’m quite the avid collector of postcards, but rarely ever send them out to family or friends. To some, this might seem counterintuitive, even wasteful. But for me, these miniature works of art serve a different purpose. They're windows into distant lands; time capsules of bygone eras; and conversation starters par excellence. In fact, in a city as fast-paced as Singapore, where our lives often revolve around our vehicles and the next destination

    Curry does not exist?

Curry. When many of us think of Indian food, we naturally think of curry.  Except, well, 'curry' isn't actually a thing. Not the word, and not even technically the food that we think of.  Many of us probably think of curry as some sort of dish that has a gravy or sauce. But that is in fact a generalisation of a wide variety of Indian dishes, and also a decidedly Western invention intrinsically tied to India's Colonial past. 'Curry' as a word doesn't actually exist in the languages spok

Forget the Future - Embrace the Past

Ah, the future. That shiny, chrome-plated paradise we're all supposed to be chasing. Well, I say bollocks to that. Let's take a cheeky detour down memory lane instead, shall we? Imagine you're lounging in a velvet smoking jacket, sipping brandy from a crystal snifter, surrounded by dusty tomes and antique globes. Sounds rather spiffing, no? That's because old is gold, methinks. While everyone else is frantically scrolling through their social media feeds, we'll be gleefully embracing t
