blogentry-133713-0-06890300-1427510987_thumb.jpgChina comes out with a bad Range Rover clone called the Longer Yuelang X1 which is erm, kind of short. Shown last week at the Shandong Electric Vehicle Expo in Jinan City, this awkward-looking low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) has plenty of Range Rover styling clues all over it. Highlights of this clone are the 'Range' inscription up front and the 'ONEVROVER' at the back.

If only they can get a picture of it getting stuck in the mud. That would complete the joke.

I have to ask (but I'm afraid to hear the answer): are the BMW wheels real, at least?

May I know what is the purpose of keep publishing negative news about China's Auto industries? Indeed there are significant improvement in new cars model by the big companies.

If you don't start from copy then how could you learn? Please go and read more about China's Auto industries.

Yes Calford, there are definitely a couple of decent cars out there built by the Chinese.

Maybe, if they had been more tactful when it comes to 'copying', no one would have said anything negative :)

Meanwhile, do take a look at another example of a copy and let us know whether you would be happy if you've bought an Evoque recently.

Well, if they had any integrity, at least co-operate with the original car co to co-produce a variant, instead of shamelessly ripping off the original and not crediting the source.. in the literary world, this is called plagiarism.. like faiming_low replied, you can copy a car's exterior but you cannot reproduce its original quality... I'd rather take a merc SBS bus than ride in a china car.. at least I'll know I can reach my destination safely...lol.....any idea why the china brand cars didnt take off in SG, if they were of acceptable quality and low price? Granted some chinese car co are buying other foreign branded names car co lock stock and barrel, but it'll take time, real effort and a complete discard of the copycat/fast track mentality to create a world class car industry.. only time will tell...

I know that you are using the 1st world standard to look at this. You are so much richer than those people in China. But you must try to understand why did they have to come out with this product. This is for the very poor people who want to own a car.

Though it look very similar, the review of the car was quite good in China.

  • Japan: The trend that became a turn-off

Ahh Japan. The destination that many travellers desire. The perennial trending subject on social media. Japanese cuisine, culture, quirks, technology, and everything kawaii have inspired endless posts, stories, reels, YouTube videos, and TikToks. If one didn't know better, you'd think it was the dream destination on this planet. While I love the food, the service and the shopping, the sheer number of tourists (me included) has become a turn-off. I'm not talking about those who inconven

    Fascinated by honey

If there's one natural food (aka can be eaten raw) that I absolutely love, it's honey. Yes, there are countless varieties from around the world, but for this story, we'll talk about the kind that comes straight out of a hive, complete with honeycomb. I'm not an expert on this topic, but every time I consume raw, unprocessed honey, it tastes a lot better compared to honey that comes in a jar. No squeeze-bottle honey for me, please. Perhaps it's just my imagination, but raw honey doesn't

    Armored MMA

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a brutal sport that, in recent decades, has grown to significant prominence.  Whatever you make of the sport (and the often complicated and sometimes problematic climate that swirls around it), there's no denying its popularity, driven in large part by the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) brand - a multi-billion-dollar global enterprise.  But if partially-clothed men/women beating the s*it out of each other is not quite your thing, may I interest you in

The best covers are the ones you don't expect

I'm not a fan of Christmas.  Let's first set aside the unclear and potentially contentious origins of this particular 'holiday', and my general apathy towards religiosity. (Christians celebrate it as the day of Jesus' birth, though some evidence suggests his actual birth was in the spring. Some historians also note that the Christian traditions of Christmas can be traced back to Pagan roots and the Saturnalia festival, and the chosen 25 December date was an attempt by church leaders to appr
