blogentry-133713-0-50666100-1403168440_thumb.jpgHaving sampled the excellent F56 Cooper S when we went up to KL to interview the talented men that created the cool MINI Cooper S video, I was looking forward to drive the lesser Cooper.

blogentry-133713-0-94874600-1403168471_thumb.jpgLesser? Maybe not. While it may have 56 less horses and one cylinder less, it is by no means slow or boring. The car also takes 7.8 seconds to hit the century mark, which is 1.1 seconds faster than its distant sibling in the family, the BMW 116i hatcback. Putting the car into SPORT mode makes it even more alert. Go-kart feel? Definitely feels like it, with its compact dimensions and well-sorted handling. I especially like the way the rear tries to assist in turning and its agility.

blogentry-133713-0-03517800-1403168462_thumb.jpgAnd then when you try to poke deeper into its menus, you can see sweet little details that make the driver smile. Like, instead of naming it 'Sport Displays', MINI calls it 'Driving Excitement'.

blogentry-133713-0-83600600-1403168466_thumb.jpgAnother nice touch is this bright red start-stop toggle.

blogentry-133713-0-91347700-1403168452_thumb.jpgElsewhere in the cabin, you will find useful spaces which would prove useful in storing stuff on your B-road blasts across the Causeway.

blogentry-133713-0-41129800-1403168457_thumb.jpgWhile the pure MINI fans may disagree, moving the window controls to where they should be is one of the best improvement for the F56 MINI in my opinion.

blogentry-133713-0-95731200-1403168485_thumb.jpgSo is the Cooper lesser than a Cooper S? Not at all! I barely miss the extra poke and it might actually ride better than its more well-endowed brother while being just as fun to pilot. Like they say, less might indeed be more.

Cool start stop button, a little different from the usual round ones offered by most automakers.

Is this the new MINI with the domino advertisement shown at the cinemas? Hot hatch, too bad will never be able to afford one.

The front overhang is a joke.

Why is it a joke? Thought the MINI is like this all along?

  • A 20-year journey, an old passion rekindled

For us 90s babies, the Holy Trinity of Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network formed a big part of our childhood. The internet was just about coming into fruition, with the rise of a plethora of websites with numerous entertaining flash games and of course, the early days of YouTube. And though those things have come and gone, one thing in my life remained constant: My love for Pokemon. I first got into Pokemon 20 years ago, and I remember exactly how it went down. Let me set the

Motorcycle riding is a sensory experience beyond the exhaust

Riding a motorcycle is like taking your nose on a wild adventure. You're cruising down the road, expecting to smell nothing except exhaust fumes and perhaps rubbish, when suddenly - bam! - you're hit with the mouthwatering aroma of sizzling char kway teow from a nearby coffeeshop. Heck, you might even catch a whiff of someone's fancy perfume as you zip by. It's like your bike has magical powers, transforming an ordinary ride into a sensory rollercoaster. It's these unexpected olfactory deli

Why oolong tea could be the superior drink of choice at lunch

Coffee - without sugar! - has long been (and still is) my go-to option to accompany my lunch. Amidst a larger 2025 goal of reducing the number of cups of kopi-o kosong I gulp down a week, however, I’ve recently thought about how my lunch experience can be switched up slightly with yet another sugarless drink: A can, or indeed bottle of oolong tea. Oolong tea is said to offer a perfect balance of flavour and functionality - perfect not just for complementing one's meal but also reinvigo
