blogentry-133712-0-17097900-1385031099_thumb.jpgThe Lexus LFA has got to be one of the greatest car ever made - simply because of how technologically insane it was, but more significantly, how the V10 sounded like an early 90s F1 car.

blogentry-133712-0-38659400-1385031105_thumb.jpgIt has been over two years now that BMW and Toyota come to an agreement to work together and share technological resources to make a car that will set the pace for future cars. But ever since - there has been no work seen between the two automotive giants but recent rumours claim that the two companies are actually working on an LFA successor.

blogentry-133712-0-03068900-1385031115_thumb.jpgWith the intention on putting up against cars like the Porsche 918 Spyder and McLaren P1 - the aforementioned LFA successor will likely be a hybrid filled with lithium-ion batteries but don’t despair because that isn’t such a bad thing.

blogentry-133712-0-94179100-1385031111_thumb.jpgInstead of looking at the hybrid system as an ecological way to save the environment, we prefer to look at it as a power boost to the engine, making it go even faster! We heard the Japanese also plan to drop BMW’s 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 into this supercar and tag it with Toyota’s hybrid system to create a combination made in heaven.

blogentry-133712-0-72164400-1385031107_thumb.jpgNo doubt - we can expect the successor to be flourished in excess of carbon fibre and lightweight materials everywhere, making it absolutely exotic! We can’t wait to see this coming along quickly and an addition to the list of hybrid hypercars on the road nowadays. Cross your fingers though, and hope that this car will not be as ridiculously expensive as the LFA.

Supercars developed by mass market brands are actually loss making ventures. Their sole purpose is to push up status of the brands.

Its technically a marketing campaign for them. Typically, they will stretch it for a long period of time, release some sniplets of news now and then to keep up the interest. We won't be seeing this new supercar development moving too fast.

  • Christmas colours: What do they actually mean?

The members of the Sgcarmart media team recently put its heads together to prepare something special and festive for our readers and viewers - which you can both read about and watch on Instagram - and as we were sitting down to plan things out, we were faced at one point with a deceptively simple question: What are the different meanings behind the colours we associate with Christmas?  In my very non-expert eyes, three distinct colours stand out: Red, green and white primarily,

    The Act of Creation

“WHAT’S A GOOD USERNAME?!” Such was the source of my agony as I was handed a pair of figurative keys to MyAutoBlog. I’d asked the colleague from IT who was helping me set up this account if I really had to make an account with my work email, hoping I could use the username that came with my personal MCF account instead. “yes”, in lowercase no less, was what I got. Oh well. After a good 10 minutes (I think), I decided on this username (a reference I hope someone gets), juvenile and

    Carpark Review: Downtown East

It used to be most associated with Wild Wild Wet (or Escape Theme Park if you're of a certain vintage) but now is more typically visited by those looking to shop at the NTUC Fairprice of E!Hub or Don Don Donki. Downtown East spans a total of 147,000sqm and was officially opened on 5 November 2000 (according to Wikipedia). For those residing in the far east of Pasir Ris, this is likely to be their port of call for the grocery run (the other typical location being Loyang East). But just how g

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 4)

I recently finished watching Shōgun (yes, I'm a little bit late to the party). Released earlier this year, Shōgun has become an utter revelation - going on to win 18 Emmys at this year's Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys, making it the most awarded single season of television in history. It's also the first non-English-language series to win Outstanding Drama Series.  And it truly is outstanding, fully deserving of all the awards that it has garnered.  As you would expect, the show rev
