blogentry-133712-0-95187100-1383648615_thumb.jpgAnyone who ever said mowing the lawn wasn't fun obviously never cut their grass with the Honda Mean Mower. While they sourced the body from Honda's HF260 Lawn Tractor, this machine is all hot rod underneath.

blogentry-133712-0-28913200-1383648619_thumb.jpgPower comes from a 1,000cc VTR Firestorm engine which produces 109bhp, roughly 100 more ponies than most of its lawn tractor brethrens. The best part - it'll hit 100km/h in just four seconds - fast enough to put most exotic full-sized autos to shame - and has an estimated top speed of 209km/h.

blogentry-133712-0-14307300-1383648622_thumb.jpgTo keep the whole thing legit, grass cutting remains the primary mission for this machine. Yes it still cuts grass, but only at speeds up to 24km/h. But once the lawn has been carefully manicured, feel free to take it out on the track. Helmet is highly recommended.

blogentry-133712-0-87244900-1383649473_thumb.jpgF1 style paddle shifters control the mower's six-speed gearbox driving the rear axle, while a Scorpion exhaust system notifies the neighbours of your presence. The steering rack is borrowed from a Morris Minor and a custom suspension unit as well as ATV wheels make manoeuvering about the shrubs and chicanes all that much smoother.

This Mean Mower will definitely make short work of any grass patch or field. Watch the clip below of reigning BTCC champion Gordon 'Flash' Shedden mowing the lawn - in a mean way.

  • A sole-ful tribute

Car enthusiasts are an emotional bunch. So, I naturally develop feelings for things on wheels, be it four wheels or two. However, I was surprised to discover that I had become attached to my old pair of sneakers, whose soles are so worn that it hurts to wear them.  That is the unequivocal signal to retire them. But I must say "Thank you" before bidding them goodbye. The laceless design is convenient, saving time when you need to rush off in the morning Through thick and

Christmas colours: What do they actually mean?

The members of the Sgcarmart media team recently put its heads together to prepare something special and festive for our readers and viewers - which you can both read about and watch on Instagram - and as we were sitting down to plan things out, we were faced at one point with a deceptively simple question: What are the different meanings behind the colours we associate with Christmas?  In my very non-expert eyes, three distinct colours stand out: Red, green and white primarily,

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 5)

There are plenty of strange sports in this world. People running from bulls. People running after cheese. Power Slap.  But of course few places do weird quite like Japan. Introducing to you: Bo-taoshi.  The name means 'topple the pole', and that's exactly the name of the game. Except of course its never quite so simple.  You want teams? Oh, you get teams. 150 players, split into 75 offensive and 75 defensive - one holding your pole up, the other attacking another team to topple th

    Cleaning is relaxing?

Every once in awhile, I find myself watching 20-minute long videos on Youtube on something that most people will probably find quite bizarre: Carpet cleaning videos.  (This video has 5.4m views!!!!) It's... a particular kind of Youtube rabbit hole. I concede that.  However, I must say that I find such videos strangely relaxing and soothing. Beyond the ASMR component of it, I do find something quite nice about the specificity and particularity of such videos, and in some
