Subaru teased us with a photo of the BRZ with the enticing STi logo on its Japanese website a few days ago. However, it turns out that it is actually a tS edition, which will commence selling soon. The Subaru tS edition will be available for sale in two different versions - the standard BRZ tS and the BRZ tS 'GT-package'.

The white car seen here is fitted with the 'GT-package' comes with new 17-inch lightweight black alloy rims, a more pronounced front lip, side skirt and rear bumper. It will also get lower springs, sports muffler, front strut tower bar and some interior trimmings. Bigger Brembo brakes, Bilstein dampers, lightweight driveshaft, Recaro seats and a GT carbon fibre wing are some of the features that buyers can get for this car.

The standard tS makes do with the aforementioned bodykit, springs, muffler, strut bar and the minor interior details.

A total of 500 units will be produced and it will very likely be a Japan-only model. Tough luck for us locals! We wonder if Subaru will produce a full blown turbocharged STi version of the BRZ. We are definitely crossing our fingers for that one!

No need to wonder. Subaru already mentioned they can't fit a TC and intercooler system under the hood. Wait for the up & coming WRX.

@Watwheels. Accelerated Performance from Toledo, Ohio has already made a turbo kit for the BRZ, achieving a whopping 54whp gain on the car: http://www.tune86.com/ft-86-news/23387-acc...rger-kit-278whp

So "Subaru can't" is the wrong choice of words, since it's certainly technically feasible. More like "Subaru won't". And the reason is easily guessed- they probably don't want to dilute their WRX/STI flagship models.

  • A 20-year journey, an old passion rekindled

For us 90s babies, the Holy Trinity of Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network formed a big part of our childhood. The internet was just about coming into fruition, with the rise of a plethora of websites with numerous entertaining flash games and of course, the early days of YouTube. And though those things have come and gone, one thing in my life remained constant: My love for Pokemon. I first got into Pokemon 20 years ago, and I remember exactly how it went down. Let me set the

Cordless vacuum cleaners: A young adult's best friend?

Every young adult probably arrives at the same point when they’ve started working for a few years: Household chores start to become more enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong – they don’t have to be one’s favourite activity on earth. But chores start to make sense: An environment that’s put-together is always a welcome haven, whether it’s returning home after a long day out, or simply staying in over the weekend (or when you’re working from home.) As a young adult myself, I've come to appreciate an

    The Joys of Morning Walks

Like most other folks stuck in the rut of smartphone-hyper-use, I recently caught myself doing the same each morning: Waking up to immediately reach for my phone. Reflecting on the first quarter of the year, however – and realising that I’ve been subconsciously plunged into an extended bout of languidness – brought me to the realisation: Perhaps it's time to embrace a different routine. One that started with stepping outside into the crisp morning air, and feeling the gentle warmth of
