Audi joins a handful of automakers that were honoured for its power units. The Audi 2.5-litre TFSI won the Engine of the Year title under the 2.0-litre to 2.5-litre category for the fourth year running.

The first iteration of this legendary five-cylinder engine impressed the motorsport world with its performance and unmistakable soundtrack - powering iconic cars like the original Audi quattro and Sport quattro S1. Now its legacy continues in the TT RS Coupe and Roadster, featuring two Audi core technologies - turbocharging and FSI petrol direct injection.

The 2.5-litre TFSI unit will also power the RS Q3 with 310bhp and delivering a fuel economy of up to 32.1mpg on a combined cycle, thanks in part to a Start-Stop system and a regulated oil pump that only supplies lubricant when needed. Efficiency does not hinder performance as the RS Q3 takes just 5.5 seconds to hit 100km/h before reaching its restricted top speed of 250km/h.

The Audi TT RS plus Coupe and Roadster models have a displacement of 2,480 cc and a power output of 360bhp with peak torque rated at 465Nm, enabling a century sprint timing of 4.1 seconds for the Coupe and 4.2 seconds for the Roadster with a top speed of 280km/h.

  • Japan is weird. I love it (Part 4)

I recently finished watching Shōgun (yes, I'm a little bit late to the party). Released earlier this year, Shōgun has become an utter revelation - going on to win 18 Emmys at this year's Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys, making it the most awarded single season of television in history. It's also the first non-English-language series to win Outstanding Drama Series.  And it truly is outstanding, fully deserving of all the awards that it has garnered.  As you would expect, the show rev

    Building a racing-themed watch!

This. This watch dial is the reason I started on this particular watch build... It all began when I came across someone's build that utilised the same dial - prior to this, I did not even know of the existence of a Walter Wolf Racing branded watch or dial. If you don't have any idea who or what Walter Wolf Racing is, here's an excerpt from Wikipedia: "Walter Wolf Racing was a Formula One constructor active from 1977 to 1979, which won the first race the team entered. It was owne

    Maps

The world map is a lie.  Well, sort of. If you think of a 2D, rectangular world map, the image that comes to mind is what's called a Mercator projection: It's... a map, no doubt, but with some very obvious distortions. The most obvious one being Antarctica, which seems like almost another planet, as well as Greenland being absolutely massive and seemingly the same size as Africa, when it is in fact 1/14 the size.  Representing a 3D sphere (Earth) on a 2D surface is fundament
