Volkswagen is celebrating a million sales of the Scirocco with the launch of a Scirocco Million Edition. The figure takes into account the sales of the first two generations of Scirocco that were sold between 1974 and 1992.

On the outside, the Scirocco Million is painted in exclusive 'Deep Black' metallic paint with two prominent decorative stripes, one on the bonnet and the other on the boot. It also comes with painted wing mirrors and 18-inch 'Interlagos' alloy wheels. The R-Line bodykit completes the exterior updates.

The interior is fitted with standard black leather upholstery with contrasting orange stitching that is also found on the gear knob and handbrake. Stainless steel pedals and special Million-badged scuff plates round up the cosmetic upgrades.

Under the hood, five engine options are available. The 1.4-litre TSI petrol have outputs of 122bhp or 160bhp while the 2.0-litre TSI produces 210bhp. The 2.0-litre TDI develops 140bhp or 177bhp.

The Scirocco Million Edition will go into production in the later part of May 2013 and sadly to say, it will only be offered in China and hometown Germany.

  • Japan is weird. I love it (Part 4)

I recently finished watching Shōgun (yes, I'm a little bit late to the party). Released earlier this year, Shōgun has become an utter revelation - going on to win 18 Emmys at this year's Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys, making it the most awarded single season of television in history. It's also the first non-English-language series to win Outstanding Drama Series.  And it truly is outstanding, fully deserving of all the awards that it has garnered.  As you would expect, the show rev

    Relaxing to restoration videos

There are tons of YouTube videos one could watch to unwind and decompress at the end of the day, perhaps while having dinner. You could watch one of those nature documentaries, travel vlogs featuring beautiful beaches, or perhaps a cooking show. But there's something strangely therapeutic about watching restoration videos. And the channel I find myself drawn to is Fumicho Restoration, a channel full of videos of old motorcycles being repaired and essentially reborn. I'm not even familiar wi

    Building a racing-themed watch!

This. This watch dial is the reason I started on this particular watch build... It all began when I came across someone's build that utilised the same dial - prior to this, I did not even know of the existence of a Walter Wolf Racing branded watch or dial. If you don't have any idea who or what Walter Wolf Racing is, here's an excerpt from Wikipedia: "Walter Wolf Racing was a Formula One constructor active from 1977 to 1979, which won the first race the team entered. It was owne

Musings after watching “The Rise and Fall of the LRT”

After having lived with it for two decades, I no longer question it: Any trip towards Punggol MRT, and out of the estate, requires me to take the LRT first.  I’ve always known at the back of my head that my estate is sort of a special one-out-of-three. (Or three-and-a-half.) Only Sengkang and Bukit Panjang also have full LRT loops, while the latter also has a single-line that connects to Choa Chu Kang MRT station. But since I’ve been relatively shielded from the woes of commuters on th
