In a recent episode of Head to Head, Carlos Lago pits the Ford Focus ST against its arch rival, the VW Golf R. Not only that, the Focus ST has to face off against the Subaru BRZ subsequently, a situation which I will explain later on.

Hence, the Focus ST is in a situation similar to a participant in WWE's 'King of The Ring' tournament. Can the hottest version of the Focus take the heat?

Both the Golf R and Focus ST are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged power plant. The models in the test are equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. Even their horse power ratings are quite close to each other - 256bhp for the German and 252bhp for the American. However, the Golf R has an AWD configuration while the Focus ST sends the power to the front wheels.

As the stability control in the US Golf R cannot be turned off, it was replaced with the Subaru BRZ during the race track portion of the evaluation. This part of the test is conducted by Randy Pobst, a professional race car driver. He commented that the BRZ has probably the best balanced handling on the whole market right now.

Tough luck for the Focus ST it may seem. Tighten your seat belts and watch the video to find out!

  • A sole-ful tribute

Car enthusiasts are an emotional bunch. So, I naturally develop feelings for things on wheels, be it four wheels or two. However, I was surprised to discover that I had become attached to my old pair of sneakers, whose soles are so worn that it hurts to wear them.  That is the unequivocal signal to retire them. But I must say "Thank you" before bidding them goodbye. The laceless design is convenient, saving time when you need to rush off in the morning Through thick and

    The Act of Creation

“WHAT’S A GOOD USERNAME?!” Such was the source of my agony as I was handed a pair of figurative keys to MyAutoBlog. I’d asked the colleague from IT who was helping me set up this account if I really had to make an account with my work email, hoping I could use the username that came with my personal MCF account instead. “yes”, in lowercase no less, was what I got. Oh well. After a good 10 minutes (I think), I decided on this username (a reference I hope someone gets), juvenile and

    Mycarforum visits Omoda

Attendees to this latest Mycarforum hangout event with Omoda got up close to the E5 and Jaecoo J7 and got a few tips on driving an electric car in Malaysia. It may have been close to a month since we visited the Skoda Kodiaq, but our Mycarforum members clearly could not get enough of the opportunity to explore new cars. At least, that's what the turnout at the latest Mycarforum hangout suggested! This new hangout session saw more than 30 of our members heading down to the new Omoda sho
