Volkswagen has released a new video for the production version of the Golf R Cabriolet ahead of its anticipated international launch in 2013. It looks identical to the concept model previewed 18 months ago at the 2011 Worthersee tuner show.

Although the MK 7 Golf has already been launched, the 2013 Golf R Cabriolet is actually based on the MK 6 Golf. Well, perhaps VW has a unique way of production scheduling.

The Golf R Cabriolet is equipped with an aggressive body kit that comes with large front air intakes, black grille with R badge, smoked headlights, twin centrally-mounted exhaust pipes and 19-inch Talladega alloy wheels.

Propelling the AWD open-top model is the responsibility of the 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged lump with 270bhp and 350Nm of torque. It goes from standstill to 100km/h in 6 seconds and is the fastest and most powerful open-top vehicle in Volkswagen history. Want a quick hairdo from a German 'hairdresser'? The Golf R Cabriolet could be your choice.

  • Christmas colours: What do they actually mean?

The members of the Sgcarmart media team recently put its heads together to prepare something special and festive for our readers and viewers - which you can both read about and watch on Instagram - and as we were sitting down to plan things out, we were faced at one point with a deceptively simple question: What are the different meanings behind the colours we associate with Christmas?  In my very non-expert eyes, three distinct colours stand out: Red, green and white primarily,

    Still learning to let go

I believe that you need to let go of things in life to make room for new experiences. It sounds hypocritical coming from a former hoarder like me, but it is quite possibly the most important lesson I've learnt these past two years. Decluttering or tidying up is cathartic. That's why I feel clearing out your house can improve your life. Like many, I discovered this before moving into my BTO, as my better half and I attempted to clear out our guest room. Horrifyingly, it had become 'The

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 5)

There are plenty of strange sports in this world. People running from bulls. People running after cheese. Power Slap.  But of course few places do weird quite like Japan. Introducing to you: Bo-taoshi.  The name means 'topple the pole', and that's exactly the name of the game. Except of course its never quite so simple.  You want teams? Oh, you get teams. 150 players, split into 75 offensive and 75 defensive - one holding your pole up, the other attacking another team to topple th
