Usually, when a vehicle breaks down on the road, we would see it being towed by a normal tow truck or placed on a truck with a flat bed at the back. And when you need to tow big and heavy vehicle, you would need a heavy duty tow truck, probably, one with a hook and chain that could winch it.

But what if the vehicle is a space shuttle and it weighs around 300,000 pounds (136077 kilograms)? You might think that a special type of tow truck is needed to pull all those extra weight. But, the answer is no. You just need a pick-up and Toyota will prove that its Tundra pick-up is possible in doing that.

A Toyota Tundra is to tow the space shuttle Endeavour on its last leg of journey to the California Science Centre. It is slated to tow the gigantic machine on October 13, 2012 and the Endeavour will be permanently displayed at the above mentioned venue.

The Endeavour is said to travel a total of 12 miles (around 19 kilometres) from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on city streets to the Science Centre, with the Tundra pick-up towing the Endeavour for the last quarter mile.

Before Toyota Motor Sales USA (TMS) made the announcement, tests were done extensively on the Tundra to see if it is capable of pulling such heavy weight. The Endeavour will be pulled by a stock 2012 Toyota Tundra CrewMax

Official spec said towing capability is 4.5ton.

But this time round it is towing 136ton.

I dunno how this can be done without modification

  • Japan: The trend that became a turn-off

Ahh Japan. The destination that many travellers desire. The perennial trending subject on social media. Japanese cuisine, culture, quirks, technology, and everything kawaii have inspired endless posts, stories, reels, YouTube videos, and TikToks. If one didn't know better, you'd think it was the dream destination on this planet. While I love the food, the service and the shopping, the sheer number of tourists (me included) has become a turn-off. I'm not talking about those who inconven

My favourite racing game is back!

THERE'S A NEW TOKYO XTREME RACER GAME ON THE WAYYYY!!!! This is the best news for fans of this rather understated and obscure racing game. Also known as Shutoko Battle in Japan, this is a series of racing games by Genki, a Japanese game company that was founded in 1990. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 is one of the most popular game in the series as it features many cars, opponents and an extensive map For those that have never heard of these games, I'll give you a quick run-down. Forget resolutions, just focus on starting fresh

The start of a new year is always a happy time for me. Apart from gatherings and mini reunions, January is when I reflect on everything I've accomplished last year, while mentally noting the things I still need to work on. Resolutions, though, are not for me. While it's not wrong to list some and strive towards them like goals, I think making resolutions is not the optimal way for me to reach new milestones, because more often than not, they're declared 'in the moment'. Or worse, after you'

Journey to the West: First Steps in Southwestern China, Pt. 1

It used to be that when a person was visiting China for the first time, the natural choice was Beijing. No better way to learn about a country than a visit to its capital, amirite? Having had their fill of Peking duck and climbed the Great Wall of China, the next places they would likely look at are those on the east coast - Shanghai, Nanjing, perhaps Harbin. In recent times though, the southwestern parts of China have gotten much coverage on social media. Chongqing, the country’s largest c
