From the land that brings us the Transformers cartoon series comes a new Japanese franchise with a similar concept. Called the Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter, the new franchise has licensed several Japanese hot performance vehicles such as the Toyota 86, Mazda RX-8, Nissan GT-R and Mitsubishi Evo.

Created by Square Enix, the company behind the Final Fantasy video game franchise and Dragon Quest Series, Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter was first launched recently as an arcade game with an animated film version set to be released later this year.

Will the new film be able to achieve the same success as the trend setter, Transformers? That reminds to be seen. Transformers has transcend generations and has moved from the TV box to the movie screen. That is an achievement that is hard to beat.

  • A sole-ful tribute

Car enthusiasts are an emotional bunch. So, I naturally develop feelings for things on wheels, be it four wheels or two. However, I was surprised to discover that I had become attached to my old pair of sneakers, whose soles are so worn that it hurts to wear them.  That is the unequivocal signal to retire them. But I must say "Thank you" before bidding them goodbye. The laceless design is convenient, saving time when you need to rush off in the morning Through thick and

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 4)

I recently finished watching Shōgun (yes, I'm a little bit late to the party). Released earlier this year, Shōgun has become an utter revelation - going on to win 18 Emmys at this year's Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys, making it the most awarded single season of television in history. It's also the first non-English-language series to win Outstanding Drama Series.  And it truly is outstanding, fully deserving of all the awards that it has garnered.  As you would expect, the show rev

Titan's Fall: Back to Square One

Manchester United have once again signalled a restart with the sacking of Ten Hag, and just days later, announced the appointment of Ruben Amorim, who will join midway through the first half of the current season from Sporting Lisbon. Back to square one yet again for the Red Devils who, despite being one of the most successful clubs in England and biggest clubs in the world, have not won a league title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013. Since then, they’ve gone through a whole ho
