After all the anticipation, Volkswagen has lifted the curtain off the MK 7 Golf at the New National Gallery in Berlin, Germany. The exterior design is sharper and clearly an evolution of the MK 6.

The vital new model for Volkswagen measures 4,255mm long, 2,637mm wide and 1,452mm tall, making the car bigger than the outgoing model in all 3 dimensions. The car rides on the new MQB platform which helps it to weigh up to 100 kg less than its predecessor. The 2013 Golf will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show.

At launch, a series of petrol and diesel engines are available. The base gasoline model is equipped with a 1.2-litre TSI unit generating 84bbhp, followed by a 1.4-litre TSI with cylinder deactivation technology that churns out 138bhp.

No, looks like Passat hatchback. Look at the front and rear lamps design. And even the interior. No imagination. Just keep copying and pasting.

  • Japan: The trend that became a turn-off

Ahh Japan. The destination that many travellers desire. The perennial trending subject on social media. Japanese cuisine, culture, quirks, technology, and everything kawaii have inspired endless posts, stories, reels, YouTube videos, and TikToks. If one didn't know better, you'd think it was the dream destination on this planet. Perhaps it's just my imagination, but raw honey doesn't

THERE'S A NEW TOKYO XTREME RACER GAME ON THE WAYYYY!!!! This is the best news for fans of this rather understated and obscure racing game. Also known as Shutoko Battle in Japan, this is a series of racing games by Genki, a Japanese game company that was founded in 1990. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 is one of the most popular game in the series as it features many cars, opponents and an extensive map For those that have never heard of these games, I'll give you a quick run-down. Japan is weird. I love it (Part 6)

Fireflies. Not a topic I think about often, if at all, but here we are.  On a recent podcast episode, I learnt that the light that fireflies emit is nearly 100% efficient. That's amazing (nature generally is). And it is precisely the study of fireflies (and their light) that has allowed the development of more efficient LED lights.  On a whim, I did a bit of extra Googling, and lo and behold, Japan pops up once more, with yet another culturally-unique eccentricity.  In Japan, ther
