Perhaps a sign of worsening economic conditions in Spain, Renault is giving away a free Twizy electric car for every Laguna, Latitude or Espace model purchased. The offer from Renault is a drastic attempt to move vehicles out of the dealer lots, after new vehicle sales in Spain fell to a 19-year low in the first half of 2012.

Both the Laguna and the Espace are unpopular models for the French automaker and this could be the reason why they have been removed from the UK dealership in February. Priced from 6990 euros, the Spanish-built Twizy could be a slow-selling model as well and hence the bundled deal.

The Twizy measures 2,320mm long, 1,191mm wide and 1,461mm tall. It is powered by a 20bhp electric motor generating 57Nm of torque and weighs 450kg including the battery pack. It has a maximum driving range of 100km and takes three hours to charge using a 220V 10A outlet.

The car has a maximum speed of 45km/h and can thus be driven in most European countries by drivers from 16 years old without a driving license. If the car is driven at maximum speed, it means that the car has to stop and get charged up after 2.2 hours. Given that a full charge takes three hours, I guess it does not sound very inviting to own one.

In this version, the timeless clash between monster and man is once again set against the tumultuous backdrop of post-war Japan. But, unlike typical action films that dive headfirst into destruction a

I have a new favourite game - Dave the Diver!

Nowadays I think many people have a Nintendo Switch, considering how it is often given away as a free gift when you sign up for credit cards, etc. Instead of just playing Mario Kart, Overcooked and Pokemon, I have another game to introduce to you all! The game is Dave the Diver. This game has completely captivated me with its delightful blend of adventure and relaxation. From the moment I dove into its vibrant underwater world, I was hooked. The gameplay mechanics strike that perfect b

The Music that Shaped Me, Pt. 2

Note: If you’ve stumbled onto this post without any context, do read Pt. 1 here first! It is said that the average person’s music taste starts to solidify early on in their adult lives, and by their early 30s they will begin to say things like “Music was better in my day”, “>insert your favourite artist or genre< is not real music”, something to that effect. Of course, I am speaking generally. With four more years to go till I hit 30, I’d like to think I try to expand my tastes o

5 ways the Polestar 2 Core Edition proves less can be more

With a less-is-more approach, the Polestar 2 Core Edition offers a more value-for-money entry into the Swedish brand.  What first comes to mind when you think of Sweden? IKEA, and probably ABBA. But there's plenty more that has come out of Sweden besides flat-pack furniture, meatballs and impossibly-catchy pop songs. Founded as a standalone brand just eight years ago and headquartered in Torslanda, Sweden, Polestar is a design-forward electric performance brand that wants to put its Sc
