German automakers have an obsession with making their ordinary car models into blistering, tarmac shredding performance models. Mercedes Benz has their AMG line-up, BMW has its M vehicles, Audi does it with their RS models and Volkswagen has its R brand. With more powerful engines and exclusive styling, these models are considered to be formidable vehicles.
