Outgoing SMRT CEO, Saw Phaik Hwa, must be the envy of many car enthusiasts. She earned $1.85 million in year 2010 and owns two luxury cars, namely a Ferrari California and Mercedes-Benz S500L. She can choose to enjoy some topless fun in the prancing horse or get pampered in the luxurious S-Class sedan.

The combined cost of both cars comes close to about $1.3m. I guess I won

Hey SYF77, both your cars got no space to pick up many chicks at clubs. At most only can pick up 3 in the RS3, and one in the SLK. Also got no space to rubba rubba. But then if you earned $1.85m a year, you will have your luxury condo in town at your disposal.

i doubt she would spend so much on cars with a 1.85 million salary alone, maybe she had some winfall from investments ? or maybe the 1.85 million doesnt cover bonuses, anyway down to earth for most of us a porsche 911 would do just fine,

  • Japan: The trend that became a turn-off

Ahh Japan. The destination that many travellers desire. The perennial trending subject on social media. Japanese cuisine, culture, quirks, technology, and everything kawaii have inspired endless posts, stories, reels, YouTube videos, and TikToks. If one didn't know better, you'd think it was the dream destination on this planet. While I love the food, the service and the shopping, the sheer number of tourists (me included) has become a turn-off. I'm not talking about those who inconven

Forget resolutions, just focus on starting fresh

The start of a new year is always a happy time for me. Apart from gatherings and mini reunions, January is when I reflect on everything I've accomplished last year, while mentally noting the things I still need to work on. Resolutions, though, are not for me. While it's not wrong to list some and strive towards them like goals, I think making resolutions is not the optimal way for me to reach new milestones, because more often than not, they're declared 'in the moment'. Or worse, after you'

    Fascinated by honey

If there's one natural food (aka can be eaten raw) that I absolutely love, it's honey. Yes, there are countless varieties from around the world, but for this story, we'll talk about the kind that comes straight out of a hive, complete with honeycomb. I'm not an expert on this topic, but every time I consume raw, unprocessed honey, it tastes a lot better compared to honey that comes in a jar. No squeeze-bottle honey for me, please. Perhaps it's just my imagination, but raw honey doesn't

    When suppressed feelings arise

"Don't keep it bottled up inside" is a saying many of us are familiar with. By now, most of us are aware that ignoring your emotions is an unhealthy practice. Yet many of us do it anyway. I don't think I'm particularly stoic, but as I get older, I've realised that I do tend to not express how I'm feeling, and that this practice has led to anxiety. One example of this happened just a few weeks ago. Prior to this year's Motor Show, I had trouble sleeping. I would keep waking up with my m
