Peugeot has released the full details of its brand new 208 GTI concept ahead of its official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show come 6th March. The concept will be very close to the production model that will follow in less than a year's time.
The power source of the concept is the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine inherited from the RCZ THP 200. It churns out 197 bhp with 275 Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The century sprint is estimated to be completed under 7 seconds.
To distinguish itself from its lesser brethren, the exterior gets a new body kit, larger 5-spoke alloy rims, brushed aluminium GTi Concept logo on the grille and quarter panels, which is a nice design element that I hope to see in the production model.
