Recently, I read from The Straits Times website that a Housing Board carpark at Bukit Merah estate is partly rented to a car dealer because it was underused. According to the report, the arrangement is the first of its kind and is extremely rare. HDB agreed to do so as the take-up rate for season parking is low there.

It is indeed a clever move by HDB to generate income from a under-utilized carpark. Come to think of it, there are also other HDB carparks in Singapore which are underused. An example is the muti-storey carpark above, which is situated along Bedok Reservoir Road. The top level is often left empty, even late in the night.

Other than renting to car dealers, the top floor of the carpark can be utilized in other ways. For example, the Residents

i really doubt that the car dealer would park his cars on the very top floor, nor would the residents of the area want to park on the top floor too.

“WHAT’S A GOOD USERNAME?!” Such was the source of my agony as I was handed a pair of figurative keys to MyAutoBlog. I’d asked the colleague from IT who was helping me set up this account if I really had to make an account with my work email, hoping I could use the username that came with my personal MCF account instead. “yes”, in lowercase no less, was what I got. Oh well. After a good 10 minutes (I think), I decided on this username (a reference I hope someone gets), juvenile and

    Hard Enduro: The ultimate motorsport?

I enjoy motorsports of all kinds - four wheels good, two wheels better. It really gives you a

    DENZA D9: True Flagship Excellence

What makes something a flagship? Flagship products represent the very best of a brand. Whether it's cars, electronic products, even services, a 'flagship' is core to a brand experience, as well as to the brand's image. Besides just delivering all the tangible features and functionality offered by the brand, a flagship product is also a showcase of the intangible - about what a brand stands for, and what it aims to deliver to customers. DENZA, a BYD Premium Brand, has now been officiall

    CSI Miami, you are missed

When the original CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) first aired in 2000, I was intrigued. There had been plenty of police dramas prior to CSI, but this was the first one I watched that was focussed on forensics. From DNA to Luminol sprays to blood spatter to bullet striations, using science to unravel the mystery of a crime and compiling concrete evidence to convict criminals made for good storytelling. However, CSI was visually dark as the team featured in the show worked the night shif
