My VW Jetta Sport is almost 2 years old. In one of my earlier post, I mentioned some of the quirkiness of the car. Well, to console myself, I tell myself that no car is perfect, just like every person is bound to have some discomfort or pain here and there. One of the quirkiness that I discovered recently is that the left side mirror emits a squeaky noise whenever it folds and unfolds. It is kind of irritating and certainly very

I remember using it during my NS days for those heavy weapons like the GPMG. All the stubborn carbon and rust were easily removed with just one wipe.. LOL . .

Apart from cleaning M16 rifles, I used it often during my technician days as an NSF. This wonderful bottle won't disappoint me to crack open those stubborn rusted bolts and nuts that held those old L/Rs and 3-tons in one piece.

Ohh! My colt plus also has the same issue, when it closes it makes an irritating noise.. Later I go check it out, find the joint and spray some WD40 too!

  • A 20-year journey, an old passion rekindled

For us 90s babies, the Holy Trinity of Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network formed a big part of our childhood. Not the word, and not even technically the food that we think of.  Many of us probably think of curry as some sort of dish that has a gravy or sauce. But that is in fact a generalisation of a wide variety of Indian dishes, and also a decidedly Western invention intrinsically tied to India's Colonial past. 'Curry' as a word doesn't actually exist in the languages spok

The fun in collecting postcards without (really ever) sending them

I believe I may not be alone when I say that I’m quite the avid collector of postcards, but rarely ever send them out to family or friends. To some, this might seem counterintuitive, even wasteful. But for me, these miniature works of art serve a different purpose. They're windows into distant lands; time capsules of bygone eras; and conversation starters par excellence. In fact, in a city as fast-paced as Singapore, where our lives often revolve around our vehicles and the next destination

    The Joys of Morning Walks

Like most other folks stuck in the rut of smartphone-hyper-use, I recently caught myself doing the same each morning: Waking up to immediately reach for my phone. Reflecting on the first quarter of the year, however – and realising that I’ve been subconsciously plunged into an extended bout of languidness – brought me to the realisation: Perhaps it's time to embrace a different routine. One that started with stepping outside into the crisp morning air, and feeling the gentle warmth of
