It looks like the wet weather is here again. Usually, at the time of writing this blog, I would be running at East Coast Park but my plan has to be shelved due to the light drizzle. Coming back to the topic of automobile, it is frustrating to be caught in the rain while driving, especially after a thorough car wash. Personally, I prefer to be caught in a heavy downpour rather than a light drizzle, provided that I am not caught in a flood. Below is the reason why.

The rain water itself will not make the car very dirty. The splashes from the road are the main culprit. This is the reason why the upper part of the body panels are cleaner than the lower portion after the car is caught in the rain. In a light drizzle, the road grimes do not get washed away, unlike a heavy downpour. Hence, the splashes from the road contain relatively more dirt and debris. In the same school of thoughts, a heavy downpour clears up the road grimes. I

Nowadays after heavy rain , everyone will asking which area is flooded. Follow by which area the trees have been uprooted.

If I do have a choice, I would choose neither. Is always just my luck that after half a day of washing my car , the rain will be here in less than 2 days time. If I don't wash it, there will be no rain for the next two weeks... The sky is always a joker to me. . .

no matter how much and heavy the rain is, we still need to wash the car to wash off the layer of dust which could have stick to the wet surface of the car and dried off.

Definitely heavy rain , I like to drive through heavy water pools and have the Aquaplane feeling. Please don't buy car from me next time as I have total disregard for my engine.

  • Sgcarmart Explores: Japan Edition (ft. the Nissan Ariya)!

The approach of the year-end holidays often also means the annual pilgrimage Singaporeans take to Japan to soothe their souls after a long year will soon kick into high season. (Just open any of your social media applications - Instagram, Facebook or TikTok - and you'll see.) For the many amongst us who can spare neither the financial expense nor the time, however, there's no reason to fret. Allow the mind some space to wander, and one will find there are many places on our sunny island tha

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 5)

There are plenty of strange sports in this world. People running from bulls. People running after cheese. Power Slap.  But of course few places do weird quite like Japan. Introducing to you: Bo-taoshi.  The name means 'topple the pole', and that's exactly the name of the game. Except of course its never quite so simple.  You want teams? Oh, you get teams. 150 players, split into 75 offensive and 75 defensive - one holding your pole up, the other attacking another team to topple th

    Carpark Review: Downtown East

It used to be most associated with Wild Wild Wet (or Escape Theme Park if you're of a certain vintage) but now is more typically visited by those looking to shop at the NTUC Fairprice of E!Hub or Don Don Donki. Downtown East spans a total of 147,000sqm and was officially opened on 5 November 2000 (according to Wikipedia). For those residing in the far east of Pasir Ris, this is likely to be their port of call for the grocery run (the other typical location being Loyang East). But just how g

    Hard Enduro: The ultimate motorsport?

I enjoy motorsports of all kinds - four wheels good, two wheels better. And while watching them on TV (okay let's be honest Youtube, who even watches TV nowadays) is fun, getting to partake in anything even remotely resembling it, even in a highly truncated, totally superficial manner, is even more exciting.  Earlier this year, I did a short 2.5 day off-road riding 'tour', and it was easily the hardest, most physically demanding 2.5 days I've ever spent on a motorbike. It really gives you a
