They're there at every car show and race event and apart from posing with cheeky groups of guys and putting up with some taking pictures at certain angles to take advantage of the high-leg skirt trim, it turns out they also have to entertain guys (and sometimes ladies) eager to exhibit their limited product knowledge by challenging these models with the stupidest questions about the car.

Little do they know that these long-legged beauties aren't just car-posing candy, they've actually been specially selected to be educated by the brand themselves about their newest cars and are let in on trade secrets of the specific car and also about rival brands. At least that's the overpowering reality that I seem to be understanding from a recent visit to a blog of one of the models from the Detroit Motorshow.

Apart from discussing things like "The Unnecessary Truck" (she has a problem with people driving a huge truck but almost always never having more than two people inside at any point in time) and grandpa's (and the things they say to her at shows), she actually comes out to demystify the myth that is the air-head blonde.

Follow the jump here at the end of the post, it's a refreshing read and an exclusive inside look into the other end of these Autoshows.

Read her blog... sounds like an angry b**ch to me with above-average english.... if she's not happy with the branding and typical generalization that men have about a car show model then why not look for another job?!?... i mean when you use your beauty and attraction to 'attract' people to your booth... u expect ppl to not to flirt with you??? wake up.. that's like being dumb blonde.. albeit your good english and knowledge of cars...

Stay away...She's not the kind of person you want to marry.. hahha... high maintenance and will probably claim every single penny u have.. and preach about women equality/rights/sexual harassment yet still dress like street walker...if u get what i mean.....

thats just my 2 cents...hahaha

  • Sgcarmart Explores: Japan Edition (ft. the Nissan Ariya)!

The approach of the year-end holidays often also means the annual pilgrimage Singaporeans take to Japan to soothe their souls after a long year will soon kick into high season. (Just open any of your social media applications - Instagram, Facebook or TikTok - and you'll see.) For the many amongst us who can spare neither the financial expense nor the time, however, there's no reason to fret. Allow the mind some space to wander, and one will find there are many places on our sunny island tha

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 4)

I recently finished watching Shōgun (yes, I'm a little bit late to the party). Released earlier this year, Shōgun has become an utter revelation - going on to win 18 Emmys at this year's Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys, making it the most awarded single season of television in history. It's also the first non-English-language series to win Outstanding Drama Series.  And it truly is outstanding, fully deserving of all the awards that it has garnered.  As you would expect, the show rev

    Building a racing-themed watch!

This. This watch dial is the reason I started on this particular watch build... It all began when I came across someone's build that utilised the same dial - prior to this, I did not even know of the existence of a Walter Wolf Racing branded watch or dial. If you don't have any idea who or what Walter Wolf Racing is, here's an excerpt from Wikipedia: "Walter Wolf Racing was a Formula One constructor active from 1977 to 1979, which won the first race the team entered. It was owne

    Carpark Review: Downtown East

It used to be most associated with Wild Wild Wet (or Escape Theme Park if you're of a certain vintage) but now is more typically visited by those looking to shop at the NTUC Fairprice of E!Hub or Don Don Donki. Downtown East spans a total of 147,000sqm and was officially opened on 5 November 2000 (according to Wikipedia). For those residing in the far east of Pasir Ris, this is likely to be their port of call for the grocery run (the other typical location being Loyang East). But just how g
