Changing the company name from Datsun to Nissan was one of the biggest marketing blunders of all time.

 

One of the best loved cars in the US in the 1970's was the Datun 240Z affectionately known as the Z by Americans.

 

And one of the best selling cars was the 120Y. This was a car that created so much goodwill for Datsun because of its famed reliability.

 

Should have revived the Brand years ago just as how DBS is capitalising on the POSB brand.
