I believe I may not be alone when I say that I’m quite the avid collector of postcards, but rarely ever send them out to family or friends. To some, this might seem counterintuitive, even wasteful. But for me, these miniature works of art serve a different purpose. They're windows into distant lands; time capsules of bygone eras; and conversation starters par excellence.
