Kia has released the engine details of the all new Picanto, which will go one sales later this year.

While detailed specifications won't be revealed until the Geneva Motor Show, the Picanto will be offered with four efficient powerplants. The smaller 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine will be made available in petrol, flex fuel and bi-fuel guises. A larger 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine is also available. Outputs will range from 69 hp to 84 hp, while torque numbers vary from 94 to 121 Nm. More specifically, the 1.0-liter bi-fuel engine produces 81 hp and 94 Nm of torque. All engines will be mated to a five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic.

This little Kia is rather green as well, with CO2 emissions that range from 95 to 105 g/km. With the optional engine start/stop system, these figures go down to 90 - 100 g/km.

It looks nice....much better than the current model. But I feel KIA could have done more with the rim for the concept car instead of using one that looks like Alfa's.

A 3 cylinder engine for a city car is just about right given the usage conditions are generally below 100km/h and more start/stop traffic. How do you think the Toyota Aygo with a 3 cylinder VVT-i engine can be Toyota's second most efficient car after the Prius?

The design concept and engine variations are basically a tweaked version of the Toyota Aygo and its siblings, Pug 107 and Citroen C1.

The approach of the year-end holidays often also means the annual pilgrimage Singaporeans take to Japan to soothe their souls after a long year will soon kick into high season. For the many amongst us who can spare neither the financial expense nor the time, however, there's no reason to fret. Building a racing-themed watch!

This. This watch dial is the reason I started on this particular watch build... It all began when I came across someone's build that utilised the same dial - prior to this, I did not even know of the existence of a Walter Wolf Racing branded watch or dial. If you don't have any idea who or what Walter Wolf Racing is, here's an excerpt from Wikipedia: "Walter Wolf Racing was a Formula One constructor active from 1977 to 1979, which won the first race the team entered. It was owne

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 4)

I recently finished watching Shōgun (yes, I'm a little bit late to the party). Released earlier this year, Shōgun has become an utter revelation - going on to win 18 Emmys at this year's Primetime and Creative Arts Emmys, making it the most awarded single season of television in history. It's also the first non-English-language series to win Outstanding Drama Series.  And it truly is outstanding, fully deserving of all the awards that it has garnered.  As you would expect, the show rev

    Relaxing to restoration videos

There are tons of YouTube videos one could watch to unwind and decompress at the end of the day, perhaps while having dinner. You could watch one of those nature documentaries, travel vlogs featuring beautiful beaches, or perhaps a cooking show. But there's something strangely therapeutic about watching restoration videos. And the channel I find myself drawn to is Fumicho Restoration, a channel full of videos of old motorcycles being repaired and essentially reborn. I'm not even familiar wi
