77-year-old driver hospitalised after crashing his Audi A3 into senior citizens centre

Uncle was probably driving himself to the centre to meet his friends, and he ended up almost meeting God instead.  What happened? On 14 April 2023, a 77 year old man crashed his Audi A3 into the Kolam Ayer Senior Citizens’ Centre at Block 44 Sims Drive. Pictures of the incident were sent to The Straits Times, and we can see the front of the A3 wedged between the doorway, and that the impact has damaged the building. Chunks of the doorway were knocked out where the car hit the

Private bus becomes a Koenigsegg after dropping its gearbox while driving

This is a Koenigsegg Regera. I would do unspeakable things to own one of these.  One of the things that make the Regera astonishing, beyond its price, 1500 horsepower twin-turbo V8 with 3 electric motors or the simple fact it’s a Koenigsegg, is the fact it has no gearbox. Koenigsegg have opted to throw out conventional power delivery systems and make a new one instead, calling it Koenigsegg Direct Drive (DDT). I am not smart enough to understand or explain how it works but it saves we

LTA absent as PMDs endanger others by speeding on an expressway

PMDs may be somewhat affordable, but if you're not careful they can cost you your life. Like these guys may find out soon enough.  What happened? A camcar was travelling on East Coast Parkway (ECP) at 2am in the morning yesterday when it cam across a gang of PMD riders speeding on the expressway.  There was at first only one rider in view on the cam car’s left before a second zoomed past into the footage. A third soon zoomed from the camcar’s right. Speedi

Man armed with an axe arrested along Stamford Road after a fight, 1 hospitalised

What happened?  Police were alerted to a fight along Stamford Road at around 2.28 A.M. They turned up to find a man casually crossing the road with an axe in his hand.  As the man got closer, the police drew their weapons in a bid to get him to stop. The threat worked as the man promptly stopped and dropped his weapon, raising his hands in the air. There is a brief standoff as the police keep the man there for a minute. The lights turned green and the camcar

Cambike screams CB after near-miss with blind Toyota PHV driver

As expensive as cars are nowadays, I doubt this driver has enough money to get away from the consequences if this almost turned into a snuff film. What happened? On the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) a cambike was just minding its own business when a Toyota Sienta forced its way through on the same lane.  You can hear the cambike swear at the car after the near miss. I would too if I almost died like that.  Unfortunately, it also seems that the penalty for vehicular m

High-beaming camcar knocks into Mercedes after being brake checked. Who's at fault?

TL-DR- Camcar high beams a Mercedes for no reason, Mercedes driver brake checks camcar. No one can decide who’s in the wrong. We are missing so much context that I can’t give a definite answer on who’s in the wrong this time. Comment down below what are your thoughts! What happened? At Bukit Batok Avenue 3, a camcar decided to high beam a Mercedes C180 out of nowhere for seemingly no reason. When the footage was submitted to SGRoadVigilante, the person was quoted to say “upse

Kia cerato with outstanding TP fines forced to make u-turn after using bus lane on causeway

TL-DR- Kia Cerato tried to cut queue on Causeway and forced to turn back. Camcar does some research and finds out he owes TP money We usually say O$P$ when we want people to pay back what they owe with haste, and we usually associate it with loan sharks. However, our traffic police may want to take a page out of the ah longs’s book for this one.  What happened?  Our cam car was on the causeway one day when a Kia Cerato passed by him. The only issue is that this Kia was in a b

Mazda CX9 tries to race a Honda HRV in an attempt to change lanes, loses and hits the Honda instead

SUV stands for ‘Sports Utility Vehicle’, but that doesn’t mean it’s suited to actual sport. Especially if you aren’t a great driver. Like this Mazda driver for example. What happened?  On Wednesday at 7.20p.m this week, a Mazda CX9 driver decided to test the ‘sports’ part of his SUV by making an ambitious lane change on Bartley Road. Attempting to cross two lanes in one go, the CX9, to its credit, activated its turn signal and crossed one lane with no issue. Howeve

TL;DR - A reckless Rolls Royce Cullinan driver puts lives in danger by driving against the traffic flow to skip the long queue. The incident highlights the importance of responsible driving, regardless of the price tag on your car. The sight of a luxurious car is always something to behold, and the Rolls Royce Cullinan is no exception. With a price tag that can reach up to millions of dollars, this SUV is the epitome of opulence and style. However, as the saying goes, "With great

Van driver gives primary school boy an umbrella during heavy rain, internet bursts into tears

With Good Friday around the corner, here’s a wholesome story about treating strangers with compassion and kindness! What happened?  During a downpour yesterday in the east side of Singapore, this cam car caught a heartwarming encounter that even the most cynical of us can appreciate and smile upon. At the junction of Joo Chiat and Still Road, a primary school boy was caught in the rain with no shelter or protection from the harsh rain. We can see the torrent of the rain from

Mini Cooper and Toyota flip after high speed crash, causing massive jam

A Mini Cooper S launched itself at a Toyota camcar in Kluang, causing a massive jam and turning both cars into wrecks on their sides.  What happened?  The camcar was sitting at the junction when the Mini turned in towards the camcar's right, going too fast and hitting the camcar head on. This was prior to the incident where another driver caused a fatal crash that claimed 5 lives.  It was not disclosed if Ms Phoo was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, but District Judge Salina Ishak noted that Phoo had consumed alcohol before she drove the car that morning. Ms Phoo and her friends drove around the Tanj

Gen Z finds out if it's worth owning a car in SG (spoiler alert: it's not looking good)

We love cars! Or at least, I do. I assume you do too, since you’re on this platform. But as an aspiring car owner, I also grapple with the realities of living in Singapore. We have again been acclaimed as the “World’s Most Expensive City” together with New York City, our inflation is the highest it’s been in 15 years, and our homes start at hundred of thousands of dollars. In the face of such problems, a car seems like the least important of my worries.  But let’s say in about 10 years time

Motorcycle chase turns into foot race after rider slides off bike, pursued by traffic police

Straight out of an action movie, this one. Look at how fast he picked himself up after falling. If I slip and fall, my legs are paralysed for at least 5 minutes. What happened? A man on a motorbike was being chased by traffic police along Geylang road. He slid off his bike across the road and hit a traffic light, before picking himself up to continue evading the authorities on foot. An officer got off his bike to pursue the man, and was successful in apprehending him. I

A Volkswagen Jetta's need for speed leads to a dangerous collision after beating a red light

You’d think after we’ve written so many posts about drivers running red lights and failing there’d be fewer cases. This is why you guys should share our articles so that your friends will be made aware of the consequences of driving recklessly (i.e, being our next post)! What happened? A Volkswagen Jetta tried to run a red light after failing to give way to a red MPV that I believe is  a Honda Stream. Don’t quote me on that second one though. The footage shows the Jetta speed

Tesla Model Y ends up in motorcycle lane

I would make a self driving joke but I’ve been told I can’t if I have no evidence. Roll the clip! What happened? A Tesla Model Y was spotted causing a massive jam at Woodlands Checkpoint because it’s at the motorcycle lane. The footage of the video is short but it shows that someone is behind the wheel so… What is going on? How did it come to this? Besides that we can see the sea of motorcycles waiting behind the tesla, as well as a picture showing that the Tesla might h

Toyota Allion trying to evade ERP charges or forgot to put cashcard in the IU?

TL;DR – A Toyota Allion hits the brakes and hazard lights just before an ERP gantry. Netizens try to rationalise this selfish and entitled behaviour. With ERPs back in operation, it is no surprise to see incidents like this occurring. For example, the ERP gantry along the AYE just before or after the Celemti Ave 6 exit. Back when I lived in the West (for a short time), I would always see cars and motorbikes parked near the bus stop or road shoulder to avoid paying the ERP tol

Pedestrian defies gravity and lands on his back after Mazda 5 crashes into him at Yuan Ching Road

TL;DR - Mazda 5 driver’s failure to obey traffic rules sent a pedestrian flying at Yuan Ching Road.  This Mazda driver definitely lives up to the standard of being a ‘kiasu’ Singaporean.  Watch this to see what I mean.  What Happened?  A (dramatic) footage surfaced on SGRV of a Mazda driver knocking down a pedestrian and sending him in the air at Yuan Ching Road.   The traffic light was green for pedestrian crossing (with a significant number of seconds left) when a

Toyota Wish rocked back and forth by driver while being 'fed' petrol like a baby

This Toyota Wish was treated better than I was when growing up. Watch the video to see why. What happened? At Gelang Patah R&R, a Toyota Wish was spotted being given some special treatment while refuelling. It was gently rocked by its driver and assisted by an attendant in a tender effort to quench the car’s thirst for fuel.  I’m jealous. Why couldn’t my parents treat me this way?  Looking at this did make me curious though. Does shaking the car do anything at all?

Cam car catches police car violating traffic laws

TL;DR- Police car made illegal U-turn, facebook comments are wrong   The comments section are once again alight with intelligent debate (swearing and accusations) and civilised discourse (putting down others and placing yourself as the superior person). MPV gets flipped like a pancake after running the red light at Raffles Quay

The karma in this one was instantaneous. It hit like a taxi, in fact.    What happened?  An MPV tried to run a red light just in front of Lau Pa Sat at Raffles Quay. At this time, a taxi was moving forward as the green light had just come on for its lane. There was no visible attempt at braking on the MPV’s side. This resulted in a T-bone as the taxi was perfectly positioned to hit the side of the MPV as it was moving, causing it to lose stability and flip to its si

Sparks fly on BKE after motorcyclists collide and knock each other down

TL;DR: A motorcyclist on BKE knocked another bike down and sent both parties off their bikes, skidding across the road. The rider at fault was surely having a good time going fast, feeling the cool night wind against them as they wove through traffic.  However, they wove one too many times, and are now likely facing a lot of trouble. What happened?  On 21st March 10.40 p.m, at Bukit Timah Expressway, two motorcyclists went into each other after one of them did an abrupt
