No one bought the new CRV? [confused]

For that price the equipment provided is ridiculous. Firstly it’s Made in Thailand, no simple features like smart key, auto rain & light sensor (which is standard across car at this price) and only 2 airbags for a $140k car... what even. These are features that can be found in a 80k car. Kah Motors just got too greedy, doesn’t make sense to spend 140k for such a low end model.

I think the 7 seater version seems more worth it.

Stay in the east and work in Toa Payoh.

So far, after 3 months, only see 2 others, not counting myself : A crimson-red 7-seater and a grey 5-seater.

LOLz...  [laugh]

At least the drive was decent, but it was indeed ridiculously priced for the 5-seater, which was stripped bare of any decent feature/function.

IMO, it was simply wrong timing, wrong price.

If the Harrier Turbo didn't exist, the CRV and maybe the CX 5 will be pretty interesting rivals to the existing Harrier, which was only available as a PI car.

However the situation changed, and I guess Kah's intel didn't work out. So a bunch of these CRVs were brought in, with a certain OMV that needs to be sold. Just like the first generation of HRVs from Thailand that was sold at a high premium, they thought they could get away with it.

If they bring in a new batch with features that can rival the other two cars, then there's a chance.

Agreed, they have to bring in the batch with more features to entice people to buy it. If not there are better alternatives at this price point. It's a great car but what you're getting for that price is peanuts. I really wanted to get it, but Harrier just had better equipment/features.

crv and harrier both are good car, but I think I can have other alternative with that price range (eg, mini cooper countryman 1.5T).

Well looks like kah heard us - the price now starts from 138k. Closer to a more realistic price I suppose. Any takers?

Surprise Kah reduced the price since this car so new n it might irk the earlier buyers. That said, COE went down so I’m not sure if this is a real cut or just normal reduction in line with COE drop?

Are there Japan made CR-V?

Who knows if they will go the same route with the HR-V or not.

Those that bought the Thai made HR-V really bang balls.
