Well many people do say most of the problem i met are wear and tear and depends on the mileage.. But i can do say is if the SC can forsee the problem, rectify it early, it would have been a plesant experience

Agreed. Used to drive a Renault Megane almost 10 years ago. AD hadn't a clue to fix the electronic issues until I found a workshop outside who specialises in Renault and it was relatively uneventful ownership after that.

Tested today , quite nice ride , smooth , quiet and good power.

Basic selling at 114K and BOSE version 126K , OMV at 25K and 27K.

Scenic also on offer 116K

Fluence basic at 94K

Just went to test drive the kadjar Bose just now. Excellent smooth ride with led instrument panel. Wow! However no CD player, adaptive cruise control and collision warning. Got lane departure warning, cruise control with speed limiter, auto parking brake, 19" rims, etc. Really spacious. Selling 119k and shipping in May. Really tempted to buy. Am considering my options.

So fast you dump the fiesta?

Yes with much regret it is too small for my family although it is very fun to drive but not fuel efficient like a diesel. Only battery failure changed foc after about a yr. Coe dropping so why not? I am still considering my options so i have not dumped the fiesta yet lah. Have visited a bmw active tourer 216d but not as spacious and more ex than a Kadjar. The bmw se also very arrogant if u are not a serious buyer. The moral of the story is very hard for men to downgrade their cars or else regret like crazy. Have sit in a Renault Clio and even a Alfa Romeo gulietta but even more cramped than the fiesta. There are times I cannot put my family barang Barang.

Just get the GS. Fold down the 3rd row seats and it becomes a spacious hatchback with enormous boot. You also get a proper 2nd row of seats that can be individually adjusted.

Renault engine is very hardy and reliable. Auto Transmission/EDC I don't know as I drive manual. Electronics sure will have some minor glitch.

Im here to see if any renault owner here has any feedback on renault car. I am attracted to the kadjar by its design, frugality and similar platform as qashqai, yet at the same time, i have scar from another french made. Surprisingly, i dont see alot of renault complain

My expereince is just to share what i have went thru. I pay alot to learn all this.

Still not as horrifying as a vw diesel car whereby the gb will spoil in a year. I am a victim. I think vw cars are the most unreliable in the market.

Buy the car for what the car is. Forget about the salesman. Find another. You are going to live with the car for a few years. Your interaction with the salesman is only a few hours in total.

I will never touch a French car again. Shitty engineering and poor reliability. Only thing good is the ride comfort.

7 seater mpv is out for me as my Wife do not like me to fetch ppl. I have driven a 8 seater mpv for 9 yrs with 1 yr the stupid Vw. Really not used to a small car as a result.

Renault gb is the same as ford and Volvo supplied by Getrag. Not much reliability issues compared to vw.

Not sure about Volvo but read a lot of complaint on Ford gearbox failure... I love every part of kadjar except the gearbox.... What a pity...

This is based on my experience many years ago so not sure how it is now. BCC is dependent on which mechanic you get, and can be expensive - slightly under AD price. I prefer Espace at Ubi, if I rem correctly the boss is Peter - friendly and willing to share. They specialise in conti cars. Slightly more expensive than standard w/s but cheaper than BCC and I find them more reliable and experienced. Able to solve issues on first go, no tikam tikam try change this try change that.

Turbocharged

Saw one on the road for the first time and I must say again, it's damn sexy.... Pity the gb is not an auto.... If they do like peugeot did with 5008, change to a aisin 6at, I will be first to buy....

I did test drove it and as I said earlier, I like every part of it except the gb. I need a car which car last 8-10yrs but I don't think dual clutch gb can last even 5yrs,... Too risky for me... Maybe I should consider set aside 5-8k budget for gb problem if I really want this car....Hehe...

so you dated her. Look at it this way: She is like a beautiful girl, hopefully she don't get sick although her dna may be slightly more disadvantaged but then it is still a probability thing that she contracts it..and if she does just do it for love and send her to the doc to cure her . No cd player and I heard in uk forum that some buyers asked for refund within 30 days because of electronics problems like the touchscreen keep switching from nav to menu erratically. Give me the cold feet.
