Baal Supersonic January 14, 2014 Share January 14, 2014 Cannot be lah, if suicide should be jump from 65th floor. why go all the way up to burn oneself? makes me wonder if this kind of high rise build is equipped for fire fighting? Reminds me of Steve McQueen's Towering Inferno. why not? The hardcore ones are self immolation like seen elsewhere. If its burn surroundings 1st, iirc from sources, they pass out b4 the flames consume.

Darryn Turbocharged January 14, 2014 Share January 14, 2014 Probably worker as mentioned "The fire involved renovation materials such as paint, and was swiftly extinguished. Fire fighters discovered two charred bodies inside the 65th floor service lift opening." First thought was worker also - but at 10:00pm? Shouldn't be any work happening at that time of night right? Then it also mentions the two ladies standing around at the scene? Why mention them - what were they doing there?

Jman888 Moderator January 14, 2014 Share January 14, 2014 (edited) Marina Bay Suites fire: Victims identified as security officers - one male, the other female Published on Jan 14, 2014 By Lim Yan Liang The two victims of the Marina Bay Suites fire were security officers at the condominium. They are Mr Sim Lai Huat, 58, a Singaporean, and Ms Sooria Kala Kanaseon, 34, a Malaysian, said the police on Tuesday. The fire broke out just after 10pm on Monday at the 65th floor of the 221-unit condominium that is still mostly unoccupied. Residents were evacuated earlier but most returned to their units at about 2am on Tuesday. Firemen found the two bodies at about 2am inside the service lift opening to the 65th floor. Myxilplix Turbocharged January 14, 2014 Share January 14, 2014 No lah dun think so bad things. I figure there was probably smoke alarm or they saw something on the security cameras, so decided to go up and check it out. Unfortunately they decided to take the lift up to the 65th floor where the fire was already raging and paid for their mistake, instead of maybe the 60th floor and taking the stairs up to be safe. Remember folks, if there's a fire please use the stairs.
