I like welbeck 2nd goal because if it was giroud he would not be fast enough to go behind, he would have been in front and a defender would have blocked the short.

That's is the difference we have with welbeck

Good weekend for us. Happy to see Welbeck score and importantly Ozil finding back his groove.

And what a Sunday it has been. Manu losing to Leicester 5-3 in an epic game when 3-1 up! Spurs also lost, meaning we will have more confidence in the NLD next week.

Now is to see Man City and Chelsea drop points. hopefully it's a draw, or Man City win.

Matoonia, your wish has been granted... lol

Great weekend I would say

Haha yeah, what a great weekend for us. Didn't expect Everton to lose at home to CP too, totally unexpected.

ManU losing, Liverpool lost, Spurs lost at home to West Brom, Everton lost at home to CP, Man City and Chelsea draw. Only 2 points shared between our 6 rivals.

And for ourselves, Welbeck and Ozil finding the net is a great morale booster for the team. Ozil's goal was his 1st away EPL goal, and Welbeck 1st goal for us. If you notice 1 thing, our current longest serving player was on the bench! Our prayer for a solid DM has been answered

Now is to give the squad members a run in the league cup against Soton on Tues, like Poldi, Rosicky, Bellerin, Coquelin, Zelalem, Campbell. And keep the momentum for the NLD this Sat.

Ozil form is just on n off, most of the games his just not up to the mark, wonder could he been playing out of position?

He is gunner no.10 with Welbeck the fast runner as no.9 role up front, very good start for the pair.

Clearly Wenger can't switch him any where he likes.

Yes, Ozil's our best number 10. But Ah Seng has also said that there are many others that can play in the middle. With this it will mean that Wilshere and Ramsey will not play together which I think it's fine. Hope Ah Seng can play the players in their best position.

Got some mixed news today:

Debunchy is out for at least 3 months.

Arsène Wenger has confirmed that Mathieu Debuchy has had surgery on his left ankle and will be out for approximately three months.

Abou Diaby is set to start in today's Capital One Cup vs Soton. Ah Seng really has a lot of faith in him. Hopefully "justice" is served and he will make up for his lost time with us.

“He's a giant, mentally. To do what he has done, with the severe injuries he has had… he comes back every time, is dedicated and he deserves a lot of respect,” the manager said. “I'm a huge believer in his quality and I'm sad as well that he couldn't show it more. If there is some justice, the future will be much better for him.

the problem with ozil at 10 is that carzola is forced out of position on the right.

wanker still needs to find the balance.

i think they need a specialist left winger. seem to lack penetration sometimes.

Yes this is the dilemma that we have now, because of lack of a good left winger, we are often forced to get Ozil to play there. Not sure why poldi is not really given much chance, since he's the most natural left sided player. I suspect maybe he is not pacy enough, or help up in defence. Right sided wingers we have aplenty though, like sanchez, walcott, ox, gnarby, campbell

Left side really need some enforcement.

Ozil poor performance could also be due to high pressure coming from fan expectation to be tip top in every games.

Sometime Wenger should just sub him instead of leaving him on the field.

Looks like we have too many players wanted to play the No.10 role?

And so we are out of the Mickey Mouse Cup. Disappointed, but not too disgraceful given that we fielded our 2nd string baring Sanchez, not only that, players being played out of position for eg Coq and Hayden asked to play as defenders.

But ah seng wasn't unhappy with the youngsters, but more of the senior squad members:

“I think if we lost the game tonight it’s not because of Hayden and it’s not because of Chambers,” said Wenger. “It’s not because of Coquelin. We have to be realistic.

“I think the first reason for our defeat is the quality of our opponent and the performance of our opponent. The fact that we couldn’t score – we scored from a free-kick but apart from that we couldn’t score.

“If you look at the amount of possession we had in the second half, and you play for so long with the amount of possession we had, you have to score.”

Looks like it'll be hard to see more of Campbell, Poldi, Rosicky for the rest of our campaign liao.

The positive thing though is Diaby emerged unscathed after 60 mins of competitive game, so hopefully he can play a more impt part for us this season.

not disappointed because we do not have a big enough squad to fight for 4 competitions... at most we can fight 2 only.

glad with conquelin...... was always impressed by him when he was playing dm or rb.. hope to see him more often

happy with bellarin also...

never see hayden play before.. hope he is good

and if Diaby can stay fit, really hope he win sign a new contract..really like him

yeah. dropping out early is could actually be a blessing in disguise.

Historically we nvr go far in this competition anyway, only won it twice, the last one in 92-93 season. Go out early may be good, but also means we will see less of our youngsters and fringe players.

Another disappointing result for us against our fiercest rivals. Another 2 points dropped, and we already have 4 draws this term. to compound matters worse, we lost arteta and Ramsey, and they will not take part in the next 2 games. Hopefully Wilshere is fine though. We dont have DM anymore, Flamini is not zai at all. If this is not the time for Diaby to step up, I don't know when is.

Another 2 massive games coming up before the international break. Hope we can win Gala, and beat Chelsea at the bridge!
