Shiraz 1st Gear November 30, 2010 Share November 30, 2010 You can't remove a burnt mark from anything! The best you can do is get some kind of paint and brush over it. Looking at the color of your seat, it's gonna be an eyesore if you let it be... looks a little like a speck of crap!

Its possible to remove a burnt mark on a pot, but you gotta scrape that layer of carbon out.

MX5NC2 1st Gear December 1, 2010 Share December 1, 2010 (edited) That would definitely be one of the detailer's worst nightmares. Don't see a way out of this, maybe buy a cushion to hide it permanently? Edited December 1, 2010 by MX5NC2
Ftco 2nd Gear December 1, 2010 Author Share December 1, 2010 Thanks to all who replied. I have two options :- 1) replace that particular leather cover - costly but also risk a colour mismatch as the existing leather is 2.5 yrs old; 2) have the spot sprayed over. Not cheaper either at abt $80. No guarantee the paint will last as that part is where people sit on. In short, the burnt mark may show again over time. I probably will check out the leather replacement option and see if the new leather colour is close enough first. If not good enough, then option 2. Iiiusion 2nd Gear December 5, 2010 Share December 5, 2010 I think the only way is to darken the leather to match the spot. ↡ Advertisement
