Texas Fried Chicken is back in Singapore!!

Fans of Texas Fried Chicken, which was here in the late 1980's, can rejoice.

 

The chain relaunched with an outlet at the Singapore Expo on Wednesday, 9 June.

 

Take a bite of the Original or Spicy Fried Chicken ($7.40 for a two piece combo) or the Mexicana Burger - a sandwich of chicken fillet, cheese onion and nachos ($7.40 for a combo).

Don't waste your time. Only the biscuit is nice. Everything else lose to KFC in terms of taste.

Old days still the best, the chicken was so crispy, you could even eat the bones.

I had this at the old Wisma when they launched, after booking out of camp,

whole gang went there to makan, not much bones on the table, all whack down.

KFC CMI also lar. Popeye at Terminal 1, but standard not consistent. Arnold's at City Plaza still the best though they have a branch opposite IMH, not as good as City Plaza though.

Their burgers are subpar, and how many waffles and root bear can we eat a week.

My personal take:-

 

1. KFC - still the best, but I hate their promo tactic, kind like a cheat... got coupon, no coupon, price almost the same

 

2. Armold - chicken fresh but tasteless, skin too crispy and tasteless/ smell-less too.

 

3. Popeye - Both T1 and Flyer, tried, same, fried till dark and dry. Smell-less and tasteless.

 

4. A&W - Will never go for their fried chicken.

 

KFC original recipe still the best!

Yeah yeah me too went to the Wisma branch last time...very deep fried chickens to the bones...and I remember the price quite cheap, around $5 for a set meal...

I only remember the Texas mashed potatoe is damm salty when i visited the empty outlet at Bedok cinema (now going to be a new bedok shopping centre)

 

KFC chickens have a stale fridge taste, although the skin and crisp are the best among the rest but the meat is disgusting.

 

btw, everytime i eat kfc, i will either have tummy cramp or will fart the chicken smell...i think got to do w the oil.

 

i eat only popeye now.
