Hmm, I went to the Autobacs 2mths back. Just feel its smaller than I had expected. I cannot say it's extremely big. They have a very extensive range of rims and thats different from what we can see from singapore. But all very expensive.

I feel the audio section is lacking (was there 1?) and I didn't see much HU / speakers / amps there.

Autobacs is about 1-2 stations down the train line. About 5-10 minutes by train. From the train station walk another 10mins. Really near

The audio is it completely separated from the main hall? I may have missed it.....but I doubt it's going to be a big section cos I did walk outside as well.

I doubt audio parts are cheap? Also I didn't find anything cheap there..... I was hoping to see parts like foglights, headlamps, ... there was very minimal. Nothing specific to any cars.

I was in Tokyo last week too :D

If you happen to be in Yokohama, there's another Super Autobacs 5-10min walk away from the train station. The bonus is that you can visit ASM Yokohama another few stations further down the same line.

I think as long as it's Super Autobacs should be around the same size. I've been to the Shinonome one mentioned by TS as well. I usually use Google Earth street view to check out the place before making the journey to prevent a wasted trip.

This is the one I went. The main Yokohama Minato Mirai tourist area is within walking distance from here - though the more happening shopping district (if you're with wife/gf) is around the Yokohama train station.

Further down to the end of the line is ASM Yokohama here - lots of buckets seats on display. After that you can do some high-end shopping at Motomachi shopping street or adjourn to nearby Chinatown for a meal.

The Odaiba one looks really good you know from the outside. Thats why I went there.... Did alot of research but thats only so much you can get. I mean it's not significantly different from what we see from Autobacs in Singapore. If you have seen Brothers in KL.....thats even bigger!! :D

u muz be joking man.... so much more in Japan. i esp. loved the bookstore there.. entire bookstore just for car stuff.. managed to find a copy of Hyper Rev for my car... which even Kino in Japan does not have any stock anymore... only could find it at the autobacs store...

I've been to ASM too... not much to see except the Recaros, if you take another 45mins walk down, you can get to Mooneyes... that place is really really cool.... oldskool/hotrod culture

yeah the bookstore is big (but half of it is bicycle dept) has alot of old style manuals. I was searching for some newer Toyota / Mazda or Mercedes manuals but hardly can find much. ie, for Mercedes you'ld be able to find some info on 123, 115 series. Thats just like 20-30 years old! :) no info on W124, W210, W211....

Mazda 323 was available, Toyota Corolla 1980s (AE100) available....but newer models like altis, G9, G10....don't have.

I guess my interests / focus is different and so I didn't get much out of it....

probably. i guess its really what you are looking for. I got so tempted by a Nardi steering i got bought it online and shipped it to my brother who was in Japan for work. All because i didn't buy it there and regretted it badly when i got back to SG. NEVER AGAIN! Next time go, see anything nice must BUY!
