Write down the code number in the box so that you will remember it. 4. Don't mess with the Workshop Code box though. 5. Change the third digit in the code number to 5. 6. Our original should be 1. 7. You will get km/l display immediately Tested on Skoda Octavia Elegance Try at your own risk The following below describes the various numbers section 17 (instruments) The third number is country version, where.. 1= EU (24h clock, km & l/km) 2= USA (12h clock, miles & miles/ US gallon) 3= Canada (not sure on difference) 4=UK (24h, miles/uk gallon) 5= Japan 6= Saudi Arabia 7= Australia Edited February 16, 2006 by Lightspeed ↡ Advertisement Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mine not due yet so didn't actually ask. But was told by bros here that they will do it. Actually, any of the VAG workshop mentioned here can do it.
